I vote for the area that Arnt lives in (near Trondheim, Norway)    The schools are good, you are near the water and the mountains are close.

Disclaimer: My family originally was from near Trondheim in Stjordal.

Hey, small world! Look me up if you're ever back to vist the roots!

Yes, we could use some more luthiers in this area. However, if you don't care for snow and winter this might not be the best place. And that crazy daylight system: Sunrise today at 10.00, sunset at 14.32. Of cousre in the summer it's the oposite...That's what you get for living close to the arctic circle!
